The Manchester Police Department covers the Manchester and Manchester Village areas. The police department, fire department, and rescue squad moved into the current facility at 6041 Main Street in Manchester Center, Vermont in 1996 and is located behind the Manchester Town Offices. Coverage for all departments is 24 hours daily all year round – no closures for holidays, inclement weather, or otherwise.

Free services offered include but are not limited to:

  • 24 Hour Dispatch and Police Coverage
  • Certified Car Seat Technicians – for correct installment of car seats of all sizes
  • Coffee with a Cop
  • Directed Patrol – complaints about speeding lead to enhanced patrol of the area
  • DMV Forms
  • Gun Locks available at office
  • Lost and Found
  • Prescription Drug Take Back – 24 hour drop off available in lobby lockbox
  • Property Watches – to enhance patrolling of a property while the owner is away
  • Tours for Schools
  • Vehicle Lockouts
  • VIN Verifications – FREE for residents/local businesses / $10 for non-residents/non-local businesses

For fee services offered include but are not limited to:

  • Fingerprinting – $35 cash, check or credit/debit card – for employment or Individual VISA background checks. Please bring paperwork from employer, your photo ID, and $35 with you at time of service.
  • VIN Verifications – FREE for residents/local businesses / $10 for non-residents/non-local businesses
